About Me

- I received my B.S. and M.S. in Biology from Lamar University, Beaumont, TX and earned my PhD. in Biology, with focus on mammalian evolutionary genetics, from Texas A&M University in December of 2005. I began teaching in the Department of Biology at Rockhurst University in fall of 2006. I have recently returned to conducting research on reptiles and am excited to have the opportunity to incorporate student contributions into these studies. I am equally excited to play a role in incorporating students into the Rockhurst family by blogging about my experiences as a member of the Rockhurst community.
