It's official!
As of today, I am officially a member of the St. John's College Junior College faculty! I now have an ID (below), a desk (the view from behind it is pictured), an office key, and a class under my belt. Now I'm off to my second one...
I received my B.S. and M.S. in Biology from Lamar University, Beaumont, TX and earned my PhD. in Biology, with focus on mammalian evolutionary genetics, from Texas A&M University in December of 2005. I began teaching in the Department of Biology at Rockhurst University in fall of 2006. In 2007, I returned to conducting research on reptiles and have been excited to have the opportunity to incorporate student contributions into these studies. Last year, I was thrilled to become the Director of the University Honors Program; and I am excited to play a role in incorporating students into the Rockhurst family by blogging about my experiences as a member of the Rockhurst community.
