Missouri Academy of Science
Ahmad did an exceptional job of representing our research group this weekend at the Missouri Academy of Science Annual Meeting. This morning before class he brought me the award he earned for first place in the student poster competition! I'm so proud of these guys.
I received my B.S. and M.S. in Biology from Lamar University, Beaumont, TX and earned my PhD. in Biology, with focus on mammalian evolutionary genetics, from Texas A&M University in December of 2005. I began teaching in the Department of Biology at Rockhurst University in fall of 2006. In 2007, I returned to conducting research on reptiles and have been excited to have the opportunity to incorporate student contributions into these studies. Last year, I was thrilled to become the Director of the University Honors Program; and I am excited to play a role in incorporating students into the Rockhurst family by blogging about my experiences as a member of the Rockhurst community.
