Evolution class blogs
Please be sure to check out my Evolution class' group blogs at the bottom of the page! Each group is involved in a grid-computing endeavor to help understand, treat and cure a focal disease. They then post the results of their research on their group's blog (linked below).
I received my B.S. and M.S. in Biology from Lamar University, Beaumont, TX and earned my PhD. in Biology, with focus on mammalian evolutionary genetics, from Texas A&M University in December of 2005. I began teaching in the Department of Biology at Rockhurst University in fall of 2006. In 2007, I returned to conducting research on reptiles and have been excited to have the opportunity to incorporate student contributions into these studies. Last year, I was thrilled to become the Director of the University Honors Program; and I am excited to play a role in incorporating students into the Rockhurst family by blogging about my experiences as a member of the Rockhurst community.
